I was planning on painting my oem grill tomorrow black. I de dipped it tonight and cleaned it up. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should just order a black grill from parts geek or similar and try to sell my chrome oem one and call it a day. Also in the future I do plan in satoshing my grill if that makes any difference on which I should do.

And if I do order a parts geek grill which should I order I'm wanting it to be flat black?

There are pros and cons to both.

buy a new grill and satoshi your old one (for practice) if it comes out perfect and you love it, paint it! this way you are rolling while modding and if you decide you want to color match your satoshi after having black your set!!

Shit how much did you spend on your grill for the raptor grill to be cheaper? I can get a black grill for 50 bucks off parts geek. Then I wouldn't hand to worry about my spray lain chopping and whatnot on my chrome one.

I have thought about that. If I satoshi and I really like the outcome I can do the second grill and make some cash off of it.

Something else I'm wondering about with my oem grill. I've read they it is important to use a clear coat. I'm wanting flat black so wouldn't the clear coat change that?
