About to start a build on my truck. Have seen many paint their stock wheels. Anyone ever try to use line x? They said it could be done for $50 a wheel. Seems like it would be very durable. Thought about also doing my bumpers and grill so everything matches.

I was told they would balance by a tire store. Weights would be on inside. I was hoping someone had tried this because its hard for me to visualize. They had some step bars that had line x on them and they looked pretty good. Not really a matte black, but close.

Leave them out in the sun for a season they will be matte black. Just look at some plasti dipped wheels and it will give you an idea of what they will look like. Good luck washing them though. Be prepared tp have to scrub with a brush. The exterior of my old z71 was lined and it ate up clothes and sponges like crazy. And those soft bristle brushes too.
