I have the stock keyless entry and a couple weeks ago it quit working all at ounce. I replaced the battery in it and still nothing. The lock/unlock button inside still works so it has to be some kind of remote/receiver issue, or am I overlooking something simple.

Do you have more than one remote? Try the other one?

Battery probably died in the remote.

Had to replace my wife's 2006 scion xa keyless remote couple of months ago. Just stopped working. New battery solved nothing. Took it Toyota dealer and they popped it open. Inside there is a 'button' like thing where the connection is made when you push down on the outter buttons. That part was very loose which it isnt suppose to be. It came unsolder. Its attached to the little main board. The guy said it was too small for them to solder it. Long story short I had to buy a new remote. Just under $200.

You may have the same situation. Whatever it is its inside your remote.

You can go to autozone and they have the little tester station on the counter and that should tell you if it is producing a signal. Sounds like a new remote is in order, you can find some replacement remotes on ebay and Amazon, just make sure that the correct FCC code is on the back of the remote you are purchasing, otherwise your SOL.
