    is there a plug under the dash. I haven't checked

    left side panel by parking brake, if your close by I could show you. just installed p3 brake controller in mine.

    If he has a stick shift then saying the panel on the left of the e brake means something A LOT different

    Thanks for all the P3 votes! Decided to go that route. If the people happy towing are using the P3, it probably works well for the weight and capabilities of the Tacoma.

    Now, to figure out how to mount the thing...

    Easy to mount. I put mine in just below the coin holder on the lower left of the steering wheel. I just leave the screws in when I'm not towing, pulling out the controller and storing it behind the passenger seats in my double cab.

    p2 in the work truck. . . .it makes me happy. was hairy towing first time and trying to figure out what "N.C." means but i think that's more the trailer's fault

    I think it means you're towing something to North Carolina.

    I must admit I felt better as soon as I plugged in the P3 and in flashing orange it said "No Trailer!" Yes, I know, just seeing if you were paying attention.
