thanks, ShrimpTaco. was pretty nice out that day, we've got a few unmaintained cut-throughs that are fun to burn around on after snowstorms. (that road pictured leads out to one)

nice out today, mid-30's, feels like spring compared to lately

Are these adjustable from either 1"-3"or2.5" I can't remember. I know you can adjust the right quality but what about height

My truck is a V6 4 door prerunner with the TRD offroad package. I installed the Rancho RS999915 Quick Lift Loaded Struts up front, and the Rancho RS999319 RS9000XL Series Shock in the back about a month ago.

Ride quality: With all four struts/shocks on the #1 (lowest) setting the ride quality is great. Pretty comparable to what the TRD shocks were before. I don't do a lot of offroading so the softer ride is good for freeway driving. I tried the shocks on the highest setting on some dirt roads. Control and handling was significantly improved over the stock TRD shocks.

Ride height: Unless you want the front to be higher than the back you will need to add a 1" block kit or an AAL to the back. I went with the block option because I did not want the ride stiffness to increase. This levels the truck out nicely. Measured at the center of the wheel, the distance from the ground to the bottom of the fender is 38.5" up front and 38" in the back.

Alignment: I did not need new UCA's get the truck within alignment specs. My specs from the shop after alignment are:
    Camber: 0.7 L 0.4 R
    Caster: 1.6 L 1.3 R
    Toe: 0.07 L 0.08 R
    SAI: 11.1 L 11.2 R
    Included Angle: 11.8 L 11.5 R
Cautionary Note: These struts put the upper ball joint right at the limit. If you are a serious off-roader you will probably get premature ball joint failure without replacing the UCAs. If you ride mostly highway, like me, you probably wont have any issues.

Wheel Size: I am running 265/75-16 BFG all terrains, stock trd 16" rims, with 1.25" wheel spacers. This is probably the biggest tire size that would fit. My tires just barely rub the wheel well plastic while reversing at full turn. Very minor trimming would fix the rub.

yes, i am running a diff drop. it barely helps with CV angles so really only a personal preference. if you seriously wheel your rig, they're not recommended.

I am in the process of doing all my research for my 09 double cab Taco. I was going to pull the trigger in an OME but ran across this thread now not sure what to do....

My main question is how much lift are you guys getting on average up front?

I ask this because my rear leafs are shot and I need to buy a whole new leaf pack when I do my suspension. So I need to know what leaf pack to get so I don't get too much of a rake.

Any and all info is appreciated.

Thanks and nice looking trucks....Keep the pics coming!

I'm due for a new set of tires and I'll go with bigger size (265/70/17 or 275/70/17 on TRD Sport wheels) and I REALLY REALLY like this set up.

IF I get this item for the front, do I need anything on the back? I have 4-leaf pack from factory for my DCLB. Thanks so much for sharing.

I have the exact same setup in the rear except for a 1" block instead of 1.5". Which bilstein's did you get? Seems like there are a couple different options out there and I want to make sure I get the right ones. I see on wheeler's site they have 5125's that they describe as being for 2-3.5" of rear lift. I should be right at 3" with my 2" AAL and 1" block. Any help is appreciated.

hey, ewok - i went down to a 1" block after that but still had the 2" AAL... the Bilsteins i was running were the RCD/Bilstein 5100 Shocks (#RCD BE5-B110-T5) from DownSouth Motorsports, they're designed for 3-4" of lift.

Wheelers shows those as being designed for 4-5" of lift. Do you have any issues bottoming out? I currently have a set of fox shocks from when I had a 4" block in the rear and I have about 3" of travel before they bottom out, which makes me think I should be looking at these instead: Thoughts?

not sure. i didn't have any issues but never wheeled the Taco hard either, occasional powerline rides, etc. used mostly as a dirt bike hauler. never had an issue with the bed loaded up either.

i consulted with Neil at DownSouth while ordering, here was his response:
