Brake Issues

Hey Everyone,

Just bought an '06 PreRunner SR5 and love it! Have a question though. When I come to a complete stop and then let off the brakes, I feel a slight bump and stutter... kind of like the suspension is squating. It only does this once each time I stop. (i.e. if I'm stopped and release the brakes to creep forward it does it but it wont do it again until I accelerate to the next light and stop completely). Any ideas on what's happening?

I took it to the dealer and he said every 2nd Gen. Tacoma he's driven does this. Is he right or is there something I need to get fixed? Thanks!

lube the drive shaft input spline, the end that slips in and out of the transmission, you need to remove the drive shaft to do this, I use white lithium grease, Most dealers will call this a drive shaft service.

 

Did that stop your truck from doing this?

 

It stopped it on my 2004 GMC 2WD it was doing the same thing just like you explained, It almost feels like someone tapped you from behind when you release the brakes. Hope this helps.
