So I have a 2005 Tacoma 2wd and I have been thinking about selling it and buying a 2010 Tundra 4x4 5.7. The tacoma is ext cab and the tundra would be also. I am looking for the 4x4 and more power but i am just not sure if I want to spend the extra money on upgrades to the Tundra (lift, rims, tires, ect..). What is everyones opinions? Ill post pictures of the dif. rigs when I get home.

Get ya a new taco instead, cheaper, better mileage and looks better ... The tundras are nice but just way to big unless you plan on pulling a lot ? But it comes down to what you want and what your pockets can afford.. Good luck.

It's really totally personal preference. The Tundra is great, and it is more comfortable, has more room, etc., but you get less off road mobility and presumably worse gas mileage. If you need to tow, haul, or need the bed space, it might be worth it. If you want more room, luxury, or comfort, it might be worth it as well. For me, the Taco is the perfect size and plenty comfortable. In 5-8 years, I might be at a point in life where I want a full size truck, but for now, the Taco fits my needs much better.

You could get a new vehicle and not mod it. Wait! I just realized what forum I was on.

Even with not a lot of information people are going to off their opinions regardless.

Thanks for all the help guys. I think what pearcem87 said is true to me. Maybe 5-7 years need a bigger truck. Keep my current taco and fix it up. it's going to happen of course thanks to TW. The red tacoma is my current truck
