Anyone successful in getting a dealer to agree on true car pricing? I got quoted via AAA and True Car on a 2014 4x4 TRD Double Cab OR for $29,100. Seems like a pretty awesome deal to me.

I got mine at the Truecar price. Note that the truecar price is different at different dealers. I picked the lowest one and then took it to a dealer that had the truck I wanted and told them I would buy if they meet or beat that price. They did.. It was 400 under invoice.

I guess that later in the model year, the better the deals. I paid $28K OTD for a TRD Double cab, Entune plus, Towing package, Toyoguard Select (no big deal) and they said I could get any Parts Dept options at their cost. ($300 list for floor mats? Come on!)
They had a 2011 similar setup with 29000 miles on the lot for the same price so I figured what the heck, I'll name my price and walk (I was still early in the shopping process). They tried to get me to add $200 to my offer but finally said SOLD! It's coming from another dealer 1 1/2 hrs away. Here in NC they are getting harder to find (at least in Silver). I knew when they were within $200 that they would cave. And you know they didn't loose any money. Makes me wonder where I would have ended up if I said $27K? So we'll see what I walk away with once they try to sell me all the optional packages.

I really didn't want the off road tires but needed the locking differential for slippery boat ramps. Figured the tires will wear out some day but doing the locking diff would be something I'll use occasionally.

    None... sigh
2014 TRD OR, DCSB, 4x4. $30,500 out the door. Might not be the best deal, but it works for me.

    First post, long time lurker...
I've had my eye on a black DCSB OR 6spd, going in today soon to try and negotiate. They want MSRP $32,690 and said that was 1k over invoice
I went online and see invoice to be about $1200 under. Should I offer invoice price and stay firm or how much further up should I let it go? Entune plus btw, no navi and I don't want the $165 floor mats when I know I'll buy weathertech

You should be able to get under $31. I paid approx. $30,700 months ago...and that's for a DCLB TRD Sport.

Overall happy with my purchase though it only has 10 miles on it still. Can't wait to go drive!

I just pre-bought a 14 DCLB Sport with Entune, mats, and tow pkg yesterday, 32,500 OTD, but they gave me $10,000 for my 06 DCLB SR5, 143k miles, 4 reported accidents. I think I did OK.

This is my first post and I hope there are many to come.

What is the best price anyone has had on a 2014 Regular Cab 4x4 MT (base package)?

I'm shopping the New England area and am currently trying to work about 8 different local dealers but I need a price to shoot for.

The best quote I've gotten so far has been from True Car at $20682 excluding fees. Am I trying to wring blood from a stone by negotiating further?

    Thanks.

Aceldama: in my opinion, $20,682 would be a great price for a 2014 Regular Cab 4x4 MT. One of the local dealers had one a few weeks ago and it sold within days of being delivered. I believe they sold it for $23,500. Base model - no options.

Is this a good deal? It seemed like it at the time but now seeing some other posts not as sure

I'd buy that one for $20.6k. Is it a base model or convenience package?

    Not enough...
'14 Baja with nice oval nerf bars and no JBL. I emailed a bunch of dealers in 250 mile radius and I knew that I am not getting a Baja for less than $36K. Local dealer had one for $38,825 MSRP but was willing to go for $37,250. I told them I won't pay a penny over $36,500 and because it's been sitting on their lot for a month, they agreed. Obviously tax, license, registration on top of it.

Sorry I forgot to add that in, it's a base model. I've edited my original post to reflect that.
