Picked up this extra set of TRD alloys, thought I'd spray them with something besides black..

Nice! My suggestion, black out the toyota emblems.

    Thanks guys!

My truck currently is MGM, but I haven't decided if I'm putting these on mine or what.

I think I will do the emblems black now that I see them in the day light and everything.

That looks really nice man! Yeah... blacking out the emblems would put it over the top. Here's to hoping they don't chip the paint mounting the tires.

    Thanks!

Yeah no kidding there. I guess I'll have to clear coat the heck out of that bead to try and help prevent that. I actually thought about maybe doing the bead black, but I'm not sure.

If you do I would just do the very edge. I like that you painted them something other than black (haha I say that and I have black wheels on mine). But yeah, they look really good and your truck color, I think they would probably look good on it if you decide to mount them.

That's what I was thinking too! If I do the Toyota emblem black, with some black lugs it would look good.

Haha yeah I thought it would be cool to try something different!

Oh dude I'm originally from Russellville btw.

Those emblems are hard to paint! I bought a small can of black and a little brush to do it with.

They look sweet, but it's difficult. Pics later

Do they not pop out of the caps? I've never seen the inside so I don't know. But yeah, if they don't I can see that being a pain to try to paint.

The center cap pops out but not the emblem lol.

No I used a Valspar product. It covered really well and is good for metal surfaces. I'll have to get a good solid coat of clear on it before having them mounted anyway.

Here they are with the black emblem. The pictures don't quite show off the sheen of them, but you can tell they're bronze haha

    Good job man!

I would imagine someone would be happy to buy those if you aren't going to use them yourself.

They look great! Wish you had a pyrite so I could see them with the color I have. Been wanting to do mine bronze or graphite with krylon wheel paint.
