so im daydreaming more than anything because the likelyhood of getting a locker is low right now, but i figure i can talk through it anyway. cost IS a factor, and detroit seems to be about half the cost of ARB, if not more once you factor in the on board air. i know the detroit is automatic and that would have some disadvantages in high traction situations.

a few questions for my window shopping... what size is my axle? i have a 2007 access cab sr5.

im looking at moving up from 265/75/16 to 255/85/16 - will this put too much strain on the rear end?

    THanks!

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
you have the 8.4, although the ring gear is still actually 8 inches it just has way more support making it stronger then the elocker third. i ran 255/85/16's for 2 years and never broke a thing and now im running 315/75/16's and im still fine after a year of wheeling.
