Ok. So I will be removing my mud flaps tomorrow because everyone here seems to do it. I still don't get the point other than cool factor. Please explain.

Oh, and I'm not jumping off a cliff when the rest of TW members do. ;)

You have tires that are rubbing on them, you like rock chips, or both? Or maybe the factory ones are just too long and you want to get aftermarket ones? Just guessing here and the chocolate cliff sounds good right about now.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
Many remove them as they are brittle and will break while offroading. Additionally, when running a mild lift and 285s, your tires can rub the front flaps.

I'd say it's up to you... My front flaps are removed for clearance and my rear flaps are trimmed so they don't drag while wheeling.

If your actually looking for a serious response hear it is. My front mud flaps were on my truck the first 25-30,000 miles off its life, now i have bigger tires so mudflaps needed to come off, now i have a permanent line in the paint where the mudflap covered the fender flare. Plus they drag over bumps and its annoying.

I took the passenger side off after my tire took the driver side off. I picked up a used set and trimmed them.

I live on a gravel road so I would like to have some on mine, but I wanted the Bushwacker fender flares and there are no molded ones that fit. I may end up doing something custom to protect the paint. I would have left them on if I had stock flares.

leave the rears on unless you're doing some hardcore wheeling. But take the fronts off.

Right now it's a street truck, I was planning leaving them on until I lift the truck. I think I'll leave the rears and trim them if I have to. The fronts are coming off when I lift.
