I want to get a 2" lift on my 06 Tacoma, but I don't know what is best. I'm looking for something cheap, but works great with no defects. I've heard not to do body kits. I'm not sure what kind I should get.

Yeah I was looking at those and in-coil spacers in the front and blocks in the back. How much do they usually run?

I heard adding a leaf is bad. My leaf springs are squeaking anyway so should I go ahead and get a whole new set? A mechanic told me that I need to gear it if I lift it any kind of way. Is that true?

Best bang for the buck is the Bilstein 5100s. To help keep the ride nice, pair them with a set of OME or Toytec Coils. Out back you could do an Add-a-leaf or a Full Leaf Pack.
You don't need to re-gear unless you run really large tires. It is hard to fit much beyond a 285 on those trucks anyway, so re-gearing is not really an issue.

What kind of lift do you have?
