I left the bat unhooked over night, all 4 doors wide open, and a fan in the floorboards. Didn't have a bit of luck this morning getting it started. I took a plug out of it and have no spark. All my fuses are good. Now what?

You said your tails were under water? What about your diff breather? Not gonna cause it not to run but may allow water in your rear diff. Where are you located? One thing we use to do is disconnect the battery cables (both). Let it sit for 10 minutes, the hold both cables together to discharge the system. I DO NOT know how Tacoma's react to this method. Are there any other symptoms other than just crank no start? All gauges working, fan turns on, and such. Oddball symptoms can be related.

if you have no spark then its def. electrical. start trouble shooting with coil packs and go from there.

Get an OBD/CAN scanner. Get the good one that will read the codes to you if you can afford it (around $100). Plug it in, turn the key on, then post the codes here and we'll get it figured out. Trying to troubleshoot without a scanner is possible, but requires a LOT of specific knowledge, and you will end up throwing parts at it. There are many reasons for a crank but no start condition. Having had the same shit happen to my truck, and it throwing the crank position sensor code, maybe that is it. Maybe not, who knows without scanning it.

Another thing-check battery voltage. If it only has 10 volts it will turn over but not start. Also ohm out the EFI fuse under the hood. It should be obvious it's blown, but that would cause it for sure.

Yes. Dont drink and drive, you might hit a bump and spill your drink.

Truck sat and dried all day. The battery has been unhooked and touched the cables together before hooking them back up. Didn't have any lick so I think its the to go to the doctor.

Maybe you fried the starter? I've drowned enough starters in old trucks myself. But, what usually happens is they get crappy fast, but not usually as fast as your results. Perhaps the Tacoma starters are a little more finicky? Just throwing some ideas out here. The depth of the water should have stayed out of a lot of your major electrical, but starters are down low, and when they crap out due to electrical issues, you won't get it started. My buddy old truck had a starter go out when we were going down the road and that sucker shut off like he hadn't paid the electric bill.

    Good luck with it.

I agree with you for the most part, but on some of the starters I drowned in my old trucks, after some deep water crossings, within the next couple of days, I started getting a dragging start, like a weak battery, within another handful of starts over say 24 hrs it would just go to the clicking.

But you're probably right in that as fast as his symptoms hit, if it's turning over like normal, it's probably going to be another issue.
