Hey guys! So I just traded my 08 taco for a 13, and did have a pop n lock on my old tailgate (loved it!) I am probably won't have time to install another one with the camera-which seems a little more complicated, before I leave on a trip. Is there anything I can do for a temporary fix? Zip ties, hose clamps? Found the tread on here for the second option, but wondering what option would be best. Also has anyone installed the lock with camera-any tips?! Thanks

If time isn't in your favor, I would at least do the hose clamp. To make the clamp harder to take off, have someone hold the gate at about 45 degrees, and then install it and tighten it from under the truck reaching up between the bumper and body of the truck. When the gate is opened or closed it makes the adjustment nut harder to get to. I tried it first from under, with the gate open, but it leaves it easy to get to when the gate is closed.

Not really gonna help you tonight, but if you don't mind spending the extra cash, the remote pop n lock is awesome. Works flawlessly, quick install, and I never forget to lock/un-lock... Plus I love how clean it is without a key hole.

    Decent install vid:
