Got my HIDs in today from slimcubby.. here are some pics:

HID Fogs in.. stock headlights on

Camera really made em look bluer than they are.. they are a nice crisp white with a tinge of blue. 6000K kit hi/low heads. Took about 2 hours to install NEATLY.. an hour of that was just getting the damn fogs to fit in the housing.. suckers didn't want to go in.

No, just asking because I was going to remove the cap because the headlight already have one. I don't know if I'll make a difference in output anyway. Also did you installed the chrome reflector on the bulb facing up(like instructions diagram) or down?

Dang, I should have caved and got in on the GB. I guess I'll have to wait until slimcubby sets up another one.

I installed the chrome reflector with the opening facing upward. It seems to 'aim' the light a little more downward so as not to shine directly in oncoming traffic. It actually kind of cuts off the light angle more like a true HID light.

I did the same. I think this lights need to burn X amount of time to produce max output and color, at least I know that aquarium HID lightning works that way. I think mine are becoming brighter now.

5k = hyperwhite right? Cuz I already got the headlight kit. I just need the fog light bulbs to match. Anyone know a good place to get them?

Might be expensive compared to the group buy price, but they last.

The ballast for the drivers side has enough slack that it actually mounts nicely around to the right side of the battery. I mounted the passenger side one right in front of the washer fluid tank.
