Lazer Lite Tonneau Cover
Since I still haven't scene ANYTHING on here for these tonneau covers, I thought I would make a post about them. Even though these are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, they look like they offer the BEST overall package of any tonneau cover when you consider all of these features: appearance, durability (aluminum coupled with powder coat), security, strength, etc., minus the cost. I am really thinking about taking the bite and ordering one of these since I haven't heard of anybody else owning one of these. Please let me know if anybody has any experience with this company or cover. It too sad that they don't market them anymore because I really think they would sell more, especially to the hard top fiberglass customers.

You have a link or pics of it? I have a tonneau cover. I guess I can "google" it.

$795.00 plus $149.00 shipping. Wow, that is a hefty pricetag, espcially that shipping. I think the one thing I hate about my roll up tonneau is that it makes so much noise when you get up to highways speeds or when its just plain windy.

Okay I just took the bite and ordered one today. Here in a couple of weeks after it's done being fabricated, powder coated, shipped, and I get it installed w/ a DynoLock electric tailgate lock (09 w/ a backup CAM), I will post some PICS & a review.

Exactly, this is one heck of a Tonneau for those who prefer fiberglass or hard one-piece covers. According to their website, it's 50% thicker @ the center than a F-150 hood (SLIGHT dome shape for water runoff), & can support 1500LBS! Plus it has a VERY clean/flush look. Trust me, I will let TW know if this cover lives up to its hipe.

YES IT DID! This cover has met AND surpassed all of my expectations. If you have any specific questions about the cover itself, feel free to ask!

Yea some pics and show some weight on it. Seems like a directly competition for undercover, though $100 or so more.

WOW
I thought for a moment I was going to sell my undercover until I saw the price. These look like great covers but not at that price.

Done
I ended up getting a Lazer Lite. I was initially looking at the Fold-A-Cover G4 and the BakFlip HD (which I'm still not sure if they have one for my model), but Lazer Lite won out. It's only been a few days, but no regrets so far.
I think I was going for a cover that was sturdy, decently secure and looked good. Since it's rare that I haul something large without notice, I didn't really require the convenience of the folding covers. Took me about 4-5 hours total but so does every upgrade (stereo, tailgate lock). Some of us are just slow. The box it comes in is huge and unpacking it so as not to scratch it did take a little while. It was packed very securely which is good. Color instructions and labeled parts make this install easy for even a novice. I recommend reading all of the instructions first to get an idea of what you're doing. Try to have a 2nd person there to help you install (for lifting or maneuvering the cover - even though it's aluminum it has a decent weight to it). I did it myself, but if you're not careful it would be very easy to accidentally drop this and screw up both your truck and the cover.
