Hey guys got an issue with my truck that i'm hoping someone can help me out with... lately when shifting into reverse, my backup camera and reverse lights aren't coming on. It'll do this for a couple days and then all of a sudden it'll work a couple times.

Has anyone else had this issue and/or whats the best way to go about fixing it? Thanks in advance!

Bump, Ive been experiencing a similar problem lately. After driving, if I put the truck in reverse, the back up camera doesnt always come on. Not sure about the reverse lights. Doesnt sound like a common problem since this is an old thread with no replies.

    Any ideas??

Check the park neutral switch on the shift lever. It has to close in order to get power to the backup lights and the camera.

Shouldn't be any intermittency with a fuse.

If the fuse isn't completely broken and it could just be arcing sometimes. Just an idea, just check all reverse light related fuses with a light probe. Couldn't hurt to check

Perhaps check the last connection (plug) along the wiring harness from the camera going along the frame. That plug may have mud or water intrusion which could cause it to short and not work... Just an idea...
