Apparently your hairy ass is still better looking than a Titan according to some people... :puke:

My coworker has had the same issues with his 06 Armada (same platform as Titan), but could not get the cracked exhaust manifolds fixed under warranty due to the vehicle's mileage. Now his truck that cost nearly 40,000 new needs a $3500 repair in order to be worth 7 or 8 thousand on the used market. You should keep your Tacoma!

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
i had a friend who had an 06 titan, and a newer one he traded the 06 for, both were in the shop multiple times and cost him tons of money to keep it going. One time was some fuel filler neck issue that cost him $500, had some overheating issue, an issue with the exhaust manifold, those are the ones i remember but there were many more. It also got terrible mpg, all the time. And he lost out on resale.

I vote stay tacoma if you dont need a fullsize, and if you do i vote get something OTHER than a titan.

I had an 06. Idpm module went out and I think it was like a 4-500 dollar part. I got a relay for like 12 bucks to fix it.
Radiator exploded too. Other than that I had no problems with it and I beat the shit out of it. They are known notoriously for having transmission problems.

    Would I get another? No.

I think the titan would be good if you have a close relationship with your dealership. I mean just front he issues here I would rather buy a ford.

Keep the Taco. I had an 06 Titan & it is the last Nissan product that I'll own. Bought it in 09' with 50k miles on it & I traded it this year with 125k miles. In that time frame I had to replace the rear axle seals & bearings twice, had broken wires in the door of the king cab, brakes were garbage, and had numerous sensors go out. The axles were way undersized for truck. I was thrilled to trade it & be rid of it. Also the gas mileage was not great. I averaged 15 mpg.

My suggestion is to keep the taco.

Nissan shrinks the frame from the titan for the frontier, but they stretch the axels from the frontier for the titan? something is not right here!

I believe the rear axle was a Dana 44 & from what ive read it is no where near stout enough for a half ton truck meant to tow 9500 lbs. Mine had the factory tow package & I might have towed a 4k lbs boat two or three times & still had a way too many problems in a short time period. I cant really complain about the engine & trans. That's about the only thing Nissan got right.

I live in a town of about 20,000 people in SC. I'm all of a sudden seeing Tacos EVERYWHERE I go. I mean there used to always be Tacos around here but I shit you not it's become the most popular truck around the past 2 years. I have seen one 2014 silverado. One. As for the Titan, yeah I wouldn't do that if I were you. Our local dealer can't move them and he's offering $11,000 off. They've been sitting for months. Meanwhile the Toyota dealership can't keep Tacomas on his lot, new or used.

Yea im not expert but from what i understand the titan did just like the first tundra and widened the mini truck axel, but they are bigger... I dont even remember where i read it, but i have looked at the 6 inch lifted titans driving around here and the fact the rear diff looks tiny ever since then.

To me nissan has ALWAYS been that way, make something with some great stuff and mess up just enough to make it not something you want to own. Like 240, 350, titan, frontier, 300zx (which i love and hate) etc etc

If you have the bug for a bigger truck just get a Tundra. You will be happier with that versus the Titan and resale will be a lot better as well.

My dad's 07 Titan, needs new cats, everything squeaks, stereo is half broken, interior parts all seem cheap and paint rubbing off, door latches get stuck... Granted it does have 230k on it, But he will admit it's not the quality if his previous Toyota vehicles

I had Nissan before...not because I have most Toyota cars in my family but I think is the way to go. Rather than Nissan I mean. There was a time Nissan was doing ok.. but Toyota has the best reputation. My moms 05 corolla has 200,000 miles nothing but maintenance and a few things like water pump mounts advance maintenance if you want to call it...but I would keep your 2011 taco hands down. But if is really the room you need why not a tundra rock warrior.. ????? whats a great deal?

Nissan builds vehicles that wish they could be Toyotas.

In my opinion, there isn't one Nissan vehicle that is better than any comparable Toyota vehicle with the 350/370z being an exception in speed (not quality).

Dependability is one of my biggest concerns though and I know the Tacoma is unmatched in that category. It also has a much larger aftermarket than...well than pretty much everything expect civics.
