Cruise not working 2010 Tacoma

Hey guys,

I have a 2010 reg. cab tacoma that is NOT pre-wired for the cruise control. I got the kit to wire everything up and here is whats going on. I followed the directions and my cruise light comes on when the button is pressed, however when i go to pull the lever down to engage cruise it does not engage.

SO i bought another switch and it does not engage either... but the light comes on. I know i wired some of it right, anyone have any pointers?
