I have a 2013 Tacoma with backup camera in the tailgate which displays in the rear view mirror.

Is it possible to wire a DVR to the back up camera to have a rear view camera recording all the time? (That is when I'm moving forward)

(yes it's sounds a little paranoid but sometimes I travel on back roads that have crazy people).

    More than likely possible.

It would probably be easier with new camera. Don't you want it in front though?

OP, you no doubt have crazy people lurking on your back roads but trying to record rear view images all the time while using your vehicle is not exactly a portrait of sanity.

Doesn't seem like any point if you ask me.
