ride quality 1st gen tundra vs 2nd gen taco

Currently driving a Tundra 06 SR5 access cab 4x4, I like it but it's more truck than I need and I have the bug to buy an 09 Taco. Thinking about a Tacoma in the same configuration and was wondering about the ride quality of the Taco, I test drove one and it seemed fine but it's hard to get a real feel for a truck on a short test drive.

I do tow a trailer 2000 miles once a year (about 2500lbs) I'm assuming that the v6 would be more than up to that task

Any opinions would be appreciated.

 

V6 with tow package can tow 6500lbs. so you're fine there.

I doubt the ride quality would be all that different. Your model Tundra isn't all that much bigger than a 2nd gen Tacoma and I believe the suspension is the same set up, correct?

 

If you feel the need to buy a Tacoma. I believe you should buy a Tacoma. A V6 would work for you.

 

I currently have a 2011 DC 4x4 offroad taco with rear tsb but, I use to have a 2004 tundra sr5 access cab 2x4 v8. The ride between the two, my sr5 tundra was a little softer than my taco, but I don't think either is a bad ride.
