Just as the title says, my truck is a 2008 access cab prerunner with the 4.0 motor and 6 speed manual but 2wd. Its the only Tacoma I've ever seen configured like it, anyone else have the same setup?

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    I have 2wd 4.0 6spd

    unless i shift it into 4wd :)

I dont think i have ever seen one in your config, but then i never look at prerunners closely unless i know the owner.

Got mine from a dealership 600 miles away, local dealer said it would take months if they could get it at all.

Ya my truck was the only manual one with in about 60 miles of me and id never seen a non 4x4 manual prerunner, but seeing as I live in Florida there was no need for the 4x4. I've been trying to find out more things about why they didn't make many of these but I can't find any post or anything regarding v6 Manual prerunners.

When I purchased my 2006 4.0 6-speed access cab PreRunner new, it was the only one on the lot of a very large Toyota dealership.

I have not seen or heard of many, but I bought mine used in Sacramento (63k miles). The salesmen said it came from Idaho and was used as a commuter. I thought to myself an idiot would only buy a 2wd truck where it snows a lot, nonetheless it has done me fine as it is my daily driver in sunny Sacramento.

in '11 when I bought a 4x4 ac 2.7 manual, I was told by dealer that the manual tran was really hard for them to find.
