camburg 2.5 coilovers camburg uniball upper uca wheelers add a leaf bilstein 5100 on rear
So I have exhausted myself searching and calling about this. I recently installed camburg coilovers and uniball UCA along with cooper stmaxx285/75/16. After install I took truck to firestone for alignment they did aloignment and told me it was good it was pulling right to much. I brought my truck back two more times before giving up on firestone and going to fourwheel parts. Four wheel parts got my truck driving straight but I can visibly see positive camber and the outside of my tires is wearing much faster than the inside. The tech at four wheel parts says my camber bolts wont go anymore. Since I put the coilovers on I have had the positive camber that is visible. I have searched a lot tacoma world and google but still couldnt find something that answered this. Any help is greatly appreciated .

Take some pictures of the UCA adjustment and control arn eccentrics (oval shaped bolts on the lower control arm). We should be able to tell you if it maxed out or not. Also, some alignment specs.

I measured about exactly 3 in. Maybe I should try lowering a little? Im going to put arb bumper on soon which might change it by making it squat more. I called wheelers they didnt really have any idea what the deal could be. Wishi had a more exsperianced shop nearby seems like 4 wheel parts only knows about drop brackets and spacers around here cause all anyone does is mud.

AS I say, anyone can make a car go straight but is it in Alignment. The only way you can have such difference between side is possible frame damage or mounting point issue.. Post your alignment specs!!!

I dont have specs with me but the camber on both sides was not to different from eachother. Both sides have visible positive camber.

I would need to see the specs but those eccentrics are not maxed out negative camber, although two are. Because you will want them maxed out (if you are really that far off) caster will change. But caster is not a tire wear issue. My guess is that by maxing those out you will gain a little negative camber but also drop caster down to the point that the truck will wander. From experience, the only way you will get your specs within range after a 3 in lift is with adjustable uca's. I'm at 1" lift and I barely got the specs in stock range, with lower caster than I'd prefer. Go get yourself an uca with camber adjust or spindle and get er done right.

Are the cams maxed on either of the front or rear of the control arms.
I had this issue with my truck where my tie rods weren't allowing enough toe in which was "fixed" by adjusting the cams. This in turn caused a camber issue.
I fixed that with some tie rod re-engineering.
Though this sounds like it's not the case. I've read about it on tw before.
    Good luck

I do all the work myself just been bringing it to the shop for allignments. the truck is well mannered on the road im just worried about tire wear. thanks for the help its much appreciated.

I'd take it to the dealership tbh. I always make them give me a printout before I sign off on anything.

I can't believe this is a Tacoma forum and nobody knows that these trucks camber out and lose caster when lifting. That is why you need new UCAs when lifting over 1.75 inches. However by fixing the caster issue it moves the wheel back in the wheel well so it is no longer centered and has more of a tendency to rub the cab mount, so you lose tire clearance when you install UCAs

Some of this Some of that
Usually only caster is a problem IIRC, camber is able to get in spec. Seems like a crappy alignment with no print out of the specs for OP

Wrong. I have owned 4 of the 2nd gens.

    1 with camburg long travel
    1 with Icons and UCAs
    1 with bilstein 5100 @ 1.75 and no UCAs
    and
    1 with OME suspension.

Whenever you lift the Tacos above 2 inches the upper arm arcs outward, bad design. But does it none the less. They should make a slightly longer LCA.
