Personal Opinion Ugly or Not?

Ugly, and not really that functional...

 

Functional for sledding.

yea.. never on mine, I swear..

 

I used to like them when I first started having an eye for trucks...they look good at first, not the chrome ones but the black ones. I saw a 1st gen DC with one and it looked awesome.

But when you really start to see all the plate/tube bumpers out there, the liking for those cheapo bull-bars goes out the window. And of course then people throw out "damage multipliers" and that seals the deal.

Must have been the Canadian... very few Americans under 50 know what a toboggan is. My parents had one up in the rafters in the garage, but we never took it out. I wanted a sled... they bought me one of those plastic saucers.

Would have at least made a decent shield for playing Viking, but the fuggin' thing was HOT PINK!

 

Fixed that for you.

 

They are ugly on a Taco, you are better off going with an ARB for protection or Defiant for extra lights.

Ugly, i took mine off. Its useless too. except for mounting lights

 

Bought mine whilst young thinking they looked cool. Only reason mines still on the truck is nobody has bought it and it does help with brush slightly on overgrown trails.

I took the skid plate off so I could still use my stock recovery point which is otherwise blocked and thus useless.
