Put 12" Silver stripes over my Spruce Mica Tacoma. The front bumper and hood were fairly easy. the tailgate handle area was the most difficult. The 1/4 circles are not easy to cut out and i could not put vinyl in indention b/c of creasing. i have some ideas to make visually better before removing and re-doing all the way.

    there's a 3" gap between the stripes.

This was my 2nd attempt (former Dakota R/T) of striping a truck, i have plenty more material to redo some mistakes.

Have not decided on roof top yet. may leave that part alone.

    Thought i'd share.

    I like it.

Leave the roof. Wrapping the rear of the cab will be worse than the tailgate.

I like the idea. I would like to see some flat black stripes. Good work!

I will try to say this with the utmost respect: YUCK! I figure you are asking for opinions since you put it on here. If you want an opinion, I say if you really want stripes, get another Dakota. For some reason it looks ok on a Dakota, but I can't stomach it on a Tacoma! Good luck!

If I were going to stripe it (admittedly you didn't ask nor would I ever dream of striping mine) I would have put about a 6" stripe more to the drivers side with a 3" stripe parallel to it over the hood, roof, and tailgate. It wouldn't take up so much real estate on the truck and would look more classic I would think. Something else to consider with vinyl is to clean the area (obviously) and then spray the area that you are going to apply the vinyl to with a spray bottle filled with water and a small amount of soap. This allows you to move the vinyl into the position that you want. Use a squeegee to remove the water from underneath the vinyl and you are good to go.

As far as curves go... use a heat gun (hair dryer works but is slower) to mold the vinyl into those hard to fit places.

As it sits right now I'm not a fan but it's your truck and if you are happy that is all that matters. :)

That's all that matters. Looks like you did a good job putting them on.

I'd remove the front bumper stripe. Looks better without it. Everything else looks good. Do what you like

I like it more than I thought I would. To be honest, the part I don't like is on the bumper. If it was me, I'd just leave the hood and tailgate, and take it off the bumper.

This. I actually like it. I probably wouldn't do it (mainly because I suck at putting large vinyls on something) but I think flat black would look decent too.

    Wrong livery.

Mustangs and Vipers carry racing stripes because old American race cars had them. Toyota race cars (and trucks) never had the two racing stripes:

I wouldn't do the roof if I were you. Too many paint problems listed.
I had stripes, and now I have 2 stripes of rust on the roof.

I agree. I like it except for the front bumper.
