if your wanting to just do wheel and tires you can do 265/75/16's with BFG's or Duratracs. thats what i did and the only trimmin i had to do was take the front mudflaps off

a mud tire with aggressive looking side walls IMO. you may not take it off-road but with serious looking tires you will look like you do.

Only offroading I really do is when we go hunting, nothing major just muddy and watery paths. No where to really go offroading that I've found legally around here. Not like the guys I see on the west coast or desert.

Dried up mud coming off the wheel wells, no shine with swirl marks all throughout the clear coat, and signs of unintended abuse all over. Thats what gives the off road truck look.

Beat me to it! A dented up truck all dirty. A windshield that has dirt all around where the wiper blades have swiped it clean. Even if it's a Subaru that makes it look "off road."

I have those same tires and replaced the wheels with Konigs, removed my tube steps, and removed mud flaps... I think it looks much better. Oh and I'm still on stock suspension. The wheels are wider and have slightly less back spacing so the truck looks a bit wider than it did stock

Edit: just realized I'm in 2nd gen section lol

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    dirt

it either makes it look off road, or not road worthy. depending.

I think the answer depends on who is looking.

I'm not much a fan of the pretty look on trucks. Yotes can look like little tanks when built right. If you're just going for the look, I like the lower lifts (6 inches lift or less) with offset rims (very important) to give a wider stance (not talking about the bowlegged) and meaty tires in the 33 x 12.50 range on 16s.
