are you talking about motor oil, or gear oil?? if its the motor oil.......you can probably go 10k before a cahnge, but i would recommend going by toyota's recommendation, which us every 5k.......but thats up to you. for the diffs, toyota recommends every 30k......same scenario....up to you also. i change my oil every 5k(mobil1), and my diffs and transfer case every 30k(mobil1 75w90).

honestly.......i think its just another way for mobil1 to make money. i'd just stick to their 5w30, as i dont think you would see a real difference in mileage between the 0w30 and the 5w30.

Thanks, Will. I tried the LS oil, tried it with the propper amount of additive, and tried it with A whole bottle of addative. Still had the same results. A few guys on TTROA had simmilar experiences, and some have used Royal Purple with good results. I was at witts end, so I had the dealer do it. Since I tow, and submerge the ass end often, I'll just use what the dealer sells and change it often. Its easy enough to do. :)

yeah, i dont blame ya for doing that, and yeah......keep it easy man. i have heard people saying that the royal purple max gear(or whatever they call it) works really well in the limited slip diffs, so if you decide to go synthetic again, maybe try rp and see if you have good results. like you have said before though.....toyota knows what goes in there.:D

nah.............if i know anything, i know you know what to use!! you know that!!!;) i was just getting at the fact that im not sure why the mobil1 doesnt seem to work in the toyota lsd's. maybe the additive is of a different content or something.
