Bilstein 5100's all around with OME 885s in front . 265/75/16. 5k hid, Fog 3k. Anytime fog light mod. Grillecraft upper and lower. Firestone airbags. Daystar Cradles. Illuminated 4x4 switch. Scan Guage II. LR UCA.
ive got the 5100 at 1.75 still stock rims with 265/75/16 no rubbing at all. Was planning now going with a 17x9 with -12mm offset and its saying it will bring me out 2in and im wanting to run 285/70/17 so that said I should be able to clear the 285 no problems correct?

You'll be fine with 265 and 17x9, unfortunately not for the 285 part.

Set the Bilstein's at the max height and you might be able to clear them...if you don't wanna do that, a little rubbing won't kill ya.

You would clear the UCA but it'll rub as you turn or going up bumps I think. I'll take some pictures of my 16x9 with 265 in a bit

Here's my 16x9 wheels with 265/75/16 Cooper's. There's like half an inch between the tire and the UCA. When my tires wear out, I plan on getting 285/75/16's, but I think I'm just gonna get spacers, so I don't have to get new wheels...but that's a few years away b/c my tires are relatively new

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Try searching cab mount chop. You may or may not have to do it to prevent rubbing on the body mount if you run 285s. You are pretty much guaranteed to have at least minor trimming. I trimmed alot and still rub at times with a -10mm offset and 285s with more lift than you, which doesn't matter so much if you wheel your truck.

This will make the arc or turning radius of your front tires bigger, which will lead to more rubbing with your setup.

So, even with your lift, you had to trim with the 285's? That's disappointing. I wanna get bigger tires in a few years, but 285's just seem to be a PITA

So here's a few pictures, 16x9 moto metal 951 with 265/75 duratracs, bilstein at 0 with eibach coils, so 1.5 in lift front roughly.

I have the same size wheels and tires as you, as well as the exact same suspension set up and got around 2.5" of lift in the front.

I'm guessing you set your bilstein at .85 and have eibach??? Which equals 2.5 in roughly?

I'm at 0". I think with the Bilstein 5100 paired with the Eibach you have to leave it at 0"...at least for the 1st gens. Anyway, mine's at 0" and was 3'', but after settling, it's at around 2.5'' Gen 1 has 0" to 1" to 2.5" notches on the 5100's so the 5100's must be left at 0".
