im confused as to whether you put an ecgs bushing on that side? if you did, there may be a chance that you didn't drive it in far enough, and the axle never seated

Axle definitely never seated right. The alignment has absolutely nothing to do with any axial force that could pull the axle out.

The inner joint has built in axial play to account for plunge with suspension travel.

I'd stick it back together being sure you hear the c clip seat in place and call it good.

I could be wrong but I believe the ecgs bushing is only for driver's side?

This^^^ I think the passenger side bearing is different anyway, and it's seated waaaaay in there, unlike the driver's side.

    it will happen again.

it could have seated right then with a weak c clip, it just pops right back out. I tried putting it back in 3 different times, once I put a new c clip in it never happened again.

Wondering if your replacement axle was built on a Friday or Monday ?
Gotta match parts up before you install new axles .

i just dont see how poor quality makes the axle pop out..
the only thing that holds it in is a snap ring.
maybe they made the snap ring on a friday or monday.

I have seen OEM axles built too short causing the axle to pop out , Too long causing wheel bearing failure and differential failure , incorrect axle splines , incorrect axle shaft distance ,missing snap rings , missing snap ring grooves . Axle boots installed with missing CV boot clamps , axle boots installed without burping the air out of the boots , Incorrect plunging depth ,etc etc :D

Should've told the whole story here, sorry about that.

I replaced the axle on the drivers side and installed the bushing. While doing that I had a torn boot on the passenger side so I replaced the axle at the same time.
