07 transmission?worrieded

Hi,
I just bought a 07 v6 4x4 5 speed automatic tacoma with 100xxx miles on it. Instead of transmission I meant ignition and my concern was why was it changed and should I be concerned in the future?

 

Did you have it checked out by a professional mechanic before you bought it(inspection)? Was there any according paperwork that came with the truck? If I were you, I would have been worried before I bought the truck, not after the fact.

We truly don't know since we don't know any other information then the tidbit that you're offering in your post. How many previous owners were there? Was it ever in an accident? Why was the transmission replaced etc? Was it bought at a dealer or privately? These questions should have been asked before you bought the truck. But really, we need more information if you can give it.

 

Like Ignition Switch?

Maybe they lost the original key.

Have the dealer check the records. If it was done at a Toyota Dealer they would have a record of it.
