Any issues off-road with 17x9 and 285/70?

    Hey guys and gals, I just ordered 17x9 wheels with 285/70/17 and my question is in regards to the width of the tire being sufficient for the width of the wheel in your experience on the trails, and when aired down. The terrain here in northwest florida is primarily sand and clay, NO rocks...

    Very interested if these wide wheels need more of a shoulder via a wider tire to really be used offroad. Thanks for any input!

    I am running the same setup and i have not had a single problem air down. I go down to 17 or 18 psi when I air down.
