Hey, that $990 price tag is a steal! MSRP is $1100 - http://www.rollingbigpower.com/grilles-1/rx-3-grille-22/rx-3-grille-18.html

I think they'd have to beef up more than just the hinges. The back doors are fiberglass and looked to be thinner than the body of the shell. It would probably be possible to remove the cover sheet and build a frame out of steel or aluminum that would reinforce the door and add a beefier hinge mount. It looks like there might be enough room to add a reinforcement on the backside of the shell that would tie into the shell and bed.

Two tire carriers wouldn't work very well on the 60/40 door with the latch on the long side. The short door would need to be closed first and I'm pretty sure that with a 35" tire you wouldn't be able to easily do it. You could probably close them both at the same time so that they interlock as they shut but I think it'd be more of a pain. You'd also need to make the gas struts beefier or add something to help hold the doors open if you're on a side slope.

These were my thoughts too. The interconnecting slats could be mounted on the inside of the doors so that they fold down and interlock when the doors are at 90° open. The fold out tables would probably be an easier way to go.

They've got it listed as $35k with all the extras. If it were a shortbed and white or silver the pictures would be taken of the truck sitting in my driveway. The bling that I don't like would be up for sale.

There would deffinately need to be an additional amount of support in there. Realistically, they could fiber in more support on the initial build similar to the way LEER does the commercial caps.

Wonder if they make armored caps with Kevlar in them for military applications... Just an abstract thought.

I like the idea that you have for a set up for this capper. It would
Definitely be nice to see on the road.

Surprisingly this camper is cheaper than the one currently
Installed on my truck. A good couple hundred dollars cheaper
Wish this was out a long time ago

I just got off the phone with the dealership and it looks like we've found a booboo. It's not quite the screaming deal as shown. The website currently lists the truck as $35,050. I spoke with their sales guy Brian and asked about the website listing and the sheet of accessories listed on the window of the truck which is shown in my original post. The sheet of accessories is not currently mentioned nor shown on the web listing. He said there appeared to be an error on the web listing because the accessories sheet is supposed to be a part of the listing. We'll see how long it takes for the web listing to be corrected, but it appears that the $17,211.82 total on the accessory sheet needs to be added to the $35,050 price, for an actual total of $52,261.82. I've had good experiences with the service department at this dealership and really hope this is an honest mistake and not a bait-and-switch.

The window sticker should have been on there. PLUS the ADM (Added Dealer Markup) which includes accessories. It would be ILLEGAL for them to have a NEW vehicle for sale there without a window sticker.
