I don't hate it. They look alright...might look better color matched to the wheels. And would definately look better with some EBC rotors and green pads.... :D

My drums are gloss black, better than the rust that was previously all over them. And you can hardly see the drums behind my crappy stock steelies

Anyone used that G2 caliper paint? I like the idea of brush-on paint to seep into the cast really well. I might consider it when spring comes. I might photoshop mine first to see what happens.

I used the Dupli-Color brush on , and it has held up well.
I took off my calapers and cleaned them really well, then I painted them.

I think it all depends on what wheels your running...IMO red looks sharp if your rims don't have a lot of openings , where you just catch a glimpse of the red, my Ballistic Havoc's don't have alot of open area , so I'm calipered red, also to match my Toytec coilovers, but on your MK8's I personally would've went black... My .02..

    Do dents and scratches count?
Not my thing. Unless you have upgraded the caliper and want to show it off. I don't think showing off a stock caliper looks good.

Nothing much. I haven't been bitten by the mod bug. A little plasti dip. And a set of Wet Okole seat covers with gun pouch.
Painted calipers always look good. Too bad there ain't calipers on the back to paint
