Fake bead locks protect rims for the average off road er and mall crawler. I have taken my Baja in deep sand and got protection from the so called fake bead locks

I like them. If your looking for the beadlock "look" there are lots of wheels with machined lip w/ rivets that give a beadlock look or the faux beadlocks. I don't have beadlocks but friends of mine do and they do their job especially when airing down to 10 psi.

Definately not lame... With 285/75R16 I are down to 10psi all the time and have yet to blow a bead and I wheel my rig hard. I dont have a locker so I have to let the supercharger do traction control for me sometimes.

    True beadlocks? Not lame.

Beadlock style? A cosmetic style that I don't care for, and adds weight and traps mud.

Trust me, if they made these ATX SLAB for my Tacoma, I would have them in a heart beat. They are one of the only true beadlocks that you can run full PSI safely with. You can run up to 65 PSI. And yes, this is my jeep. And for anyone who has never mounted beadlocks, ITS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE. To do the 5 tires for my jeep it took 3 people almost 2 hours to do. 99% of the tire shops wont touch them because its a safety/insurance issue and the shops that will charge $100 per tire at least.

^^^ That. That's what I was referring to. Wheels that have the bead-lock looks, but don't have real beadlocks. Or wheels that have removable bead-lock rings, but are cosmetic only and can't really be used to lock tire beads.

I like the look of them, I have no need for a real bead lock so I'm fine with the "fake" ones but to each their own

As stated by several others above. Its all subjective. Just because you do or dont like it doesnt mean anyone else has to agree/disagree. Thats the joy of being able to think for ourselves. I like some of them and dont like others and like I said above, if they made the right kind of beadlocks for my Taco I would be running them as well.

Those are cool. Are they real bead-locks, or just a removable ring? Fake or not, I wouldn't mind running these in Bronze, on black MT's on my white truck.

Thanks. Its even better now. I have recently put on a full Savvy offroad aluminum belly up kit (5+ inches of underbelly clearance gained), Metal Cloak game changer duroflex 3.5" lift, heat reduction hood vents (cause Jeeps do overheat easily, especially in AZ), a full roll cage, and a few other odds and ends.

I got the Jeep because to go any more extreme with my Taco meant cutting the front end off of it and going SAS so your looking at 10+K for a good job. I figured shit, keep the taco as my daily driver and spend 15K on the jeep and build it up. The jeep will take my places me Taco never could.

Follow the link. They are just removable rings not actual beadlocks. You can get them in multiple colors.

I'd run beads if I could.

bought the wheels because of the tires i got with them but the look grew on me. I kinda DGAF what other people think though

It's not simply about caring about what other people think. It's about getting informed. There's a fine line between running something that's acceptable and running something stupid just because you failed to ask and learn more about it.
