I contacted Muth regarding heated mirrors. They told me I did not need to buy all new mirrors if I was not interested in signals. They make a kit that works with your OME mirrors. has anyone done this? $69 seems like a hell of a deal to add heated mirrors.

I was looking at this mod for a couple of Accords I own. The kit you linked here does not include the actual mirror glass with heating element installed on the back. Unless you plan on installing the replacement signal mirror glass /w heat from Muthco or use an aftermarket heating element on the OE glass, additional parts are needed.

I will be getting the signal glass w/ heat and HMOD for son and wife for Christmas :D

You are right, but I do not see anywhere on the site listing just the heated mirrors. Is would be much easier just to pop off the old glass and put the new one in. now, I wonder if you can you a suquia switch? That would be boss...

Also, I am a novice so I am not sure how I will wire these up.

    From the link ~

This kit will power heated mirrors which will need to be purchased separately and installed in place of the original unheated mirrors.

I read a write up earlier this week on TW about using the Sequia switch and factory heated glass on a Tacoma. I'll see if I can find it again and post the link

EDIT: here's the link for the mirrors http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/193528-oem-heated-mirrors-diy-mod.html
and a switch if you have the off road package http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...em-heated-mirror-option-off-road-package.html

I have Sienna heated mirrors and a Highlander timed switch. The Sienna glass took the place of my stock, unheated glass, I wired everything myself and the Highlander switch is timed so it cuts power in 15 minutes. It looks 100% factory.

I spoke with Muth this week. I have to buy the heated glass seperatly, $99.00 for both. So, looks like $200.00 and I will have heated mirrors.

I bought my mirrors and installed them, but have not wired up the switch yet. Any suggestions on how to do this? The instructions want me to tap into the ACC wire, but I am not sure which wire this is. I have a 2013 Tacoma with the etune system.

    Thanks in advance.

You can tap the acc wire or just be simple and add an "add a fuse" to the I side fuse box to a fuse that powers up when the key is in the ignition ;)

The one that plugs into the ignition aka key hole on the steering wheel. The ores run from the fuse box into the steering area

Can someone tell me if the Highlander switch will work for the Muth mirrors? I want a factory looking switch.

Yes, the Highlander switch will work, but you need to add a relay or the switch will burn up on you.
