    Hey everyone

I searched quite a bit and did not come up with any answers or examples. I suspect someone will show me a relevant thread right away and peg me in the dipshit category so I apologize in advance.

    2013 Tacoma

Really want to put an LED bar in the lower grill but in Ontario we have the front plate. What have others done with front plate other than moving to a state or province that does not require it?

A bar to install the lights on would be an option as well but the damn plate is still in the way.

If you have solved this issue, please flip me a picture.

    Thanks

I basically moved the license plate up across the bumper, using the pre existing holes to mount the plates bottom holes, then bending the top of the plate with the curves of the bumper and slid the top lip under the grill. I used the industrial Velcro pads (the soft side) to mount on the back of the plate to keep it from scratching the bumper. It has worked great, I've had it like that and have had no trouble with law enforcement either (mainly cause the plate is slightly hidden behind my avid bar). I have a 30" mounted in the lower valance.

yea thats what I meant. You just used the predrilled holes on the bottom and how is the top attached? Or it is just bent like that and no need to attach the top? Thanks for the answer/help.

The top is just bent and tucked under the grill a little, bottom uses existing holes.

I drilled holes in my bumper on my 11 and offset the plate towards the driver's side, I didn't mind because I swapped to a plate bumper a few months later.
