    Hello,
the tailgate of my 2008 Tacoma is giving me trouble. I need to lift the handle and kinda wiggle the tailgate / push then pull in order for it to open. It can take me a few minutes to open, and seems to be getting worse. I have an aftermarket locking handle, and a retrax cover. Any suggestions? Should i WD40 the latches?
    Thanks!
    Danny

I have a 2010 and have the same issue. Only the drivers side of the tailgate gets stuck. I just got back from the dealer today and the service guy said it was the carpet bedliner that was bunching up putting pressure on the tailgate causing it to stick. I took the carpet bedliner off the tailgate and made sure it was out of the way and it still sticks. I have to push in on the tailgate where it sticks then lift the handle and it opens. I doubt the service guy is going to do anything again about it so I guess I'll just live with it.

You guys try greasing up the components?

Fluid film would be perfect there
