Things That Bother You About Your 2nd Gen...

I know we all love our trucks, else we wouldn't be here, but everybody has those little things that bug the piss out of them about their truck.

I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread about those annoying little things that might bother you about your truck. Owners that have had the same issues can offer advice on how to fix them.

Mine are:
An interior rattle that I cannot find.
The Taco lean.
Driver's side leaf spring squeak.
16mpg.

 

The one thing that bothers me the most are multiple "what you don't like about your 2nd gen" threads that 2nd gens inspire for some reason.

I'll play...

I guess I'd like better MPG (diesel)
More torque (diesel)
Less spark plugs (diesel)
Not having to stop at the filling station twice a week (diesel)
Not having a turbo (diesel)
More towing capacity (diesel)

That about sums it up...oh, the fact that we don't have diesel OEM available.

Really, I don't have much issue with mine. It pretty much fits my needs though there are a few things I'd like to see made available. Heated leather, heated mirrors, and some safety equipment. Oh & a diesel.

 

My balls dont fit in the seat, and rest on the floor.

I felt I made an honest observation. For some reason these 2nd gen trucks make people want to find small problems in their trucks.

And I linked a few others for your reading pleasure.

 

Some people like to troll the shit out of these threads for fun, as you have noticed.

This whole site is about 50% good info and 50% utter chaos/trolling...

 

Which is why I think this is the best automotive forum on the internet. Education and entertainment.

Nothing wrong with parents helping their kids out. I would not be where I am today without my parents financial help and I will never take that for granted. My first car was given to me and I drove it for 7 years. When I bought this Tacoma, I returned that car to my parents for my younger sister to drive.

 

Carrying them in one of these perhaps?

 

It would seem this thread has already headed that way.

 

I just recently got a 2013 DCSB and noticed that it seems to "lean" on the drivers side. I wasn't certain if this was just my imagination, or was it just the roads all lean to the right, or just my big, fat a**?

 

Let me try and steer it back in the right direction:

When my dad sits in the front passenger seat is makes a squeak, but no one else makes it do that.

The dash coating is doo-doo.

That's the only nuances of mine.

 

Weight of driver + gas tank, obviously more pronounced with a full-tank and a heavier weight driver.
