Currently have more of a black and chrome theme to my truck, starting to think about murdering it right out more and more. Thoughts/opinions?

you will find that, for reasons i have yet to figure out, most everyone on this site has a strange adversion to chrome

i like chrome on black: your truck looks good - like the chrome step bars, beadlocks, and hardware on your grill and fenders; don't like the bull-bar as much... but, that probably doesn't have anything to do with the chrome, i just don't like bull-bars

I believe those are just accents on the rim face........ not beadlocks or faux locks

that contrast I DO like...... good point

Yea, i liked the bull bar at the begining but now its almost too much for me up front. might take it off or try plasti dipping parts to take the attention away from it. I guess what lead me to consider murdering it out was thinkin about smokin/tinting the tails and the doing BHLM. Not sure if it would go well with all the chrome accents though :s Suppose this is where photoshop could come in handy.. I just think tails and especially the BHLM looks badass on a lot of the trucks. But with chrome? Hard to say... Maybe more so with the winters:

The only way you can make the bull bar less obvious is to remove it. Black is so overplayed. I can't take another blacked out Taco.:anonymous:

    ^^
(Edit: ha! just realized you have a black-out truck, Wattapunk)

I obviously am pretty partial to black trucks (screen name); but, the entirely blacked out look; especially including smoked tail lights and the whole 9, I really don't care for
I ain't saying go chrome... but, SOME sort of accent somewhere looks nice, I think... for gosh sakes, a different shade of black, even

Black on black with some offset of colors.

I've thought about painting or plastidipping the screws on the bushwackers/emblems but i think the small amount of chrome is a nice offset which makes the car stand out a bit more. Still deciding...

I was being sarcastic but I do agree with you about not being a fan of the smoked taillights. This is what I had to deal with when I bought mine a few yrs back: Too much contrast, no?

yeah, i caught the sarcasm a little late... then i saw your sig
i like the contrast with the billet. well, in the grille itself, anyhow; maybe the scoop and valence is too much; but, same as with OP; not liking the bull-bar

    Too much is disgusting, yes
I blacked-out some of my grille; including emblem; plus the bumpers and valence
But, I still rock the partial grille, the bare aluminum wheels, white lettering on the tires, and bedside decal

I debating the same thing right, I did plasti dip my front chrome grill and emblem but the headlights are still stock (No BHLM) and I'm thinking about painting my rear bumper. I do like a little contrast. I still have my chrome Tacoma emblems on the doors and tailgate chrome.

All black speaks of mental issues and looks cheap and childish.
A bit of chrome for contrast looks nice.
No need to be a chromophobe.
