    I'm getting the 2014 Tacoma.
I have no clue what type of package to get...SR5 or TRD
What accessories to add. Like definitely should add, would be nice and don't need.
I don't go off-roading really and I get some snow here in VA. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Buying the truck is just like personalizing anything you buy for example a computer. Do you need 4wd? Do you want bluetooth capability? Do you want color matched bumpers? Do you like the seats of a base model vs TRD seats? No one can really tell you what to get cause in the end it's what you want and can afford for options. I suggest looking at all the models and what they come with standard side by side. Identify what you want/need in the truck and go from there by choosing a model.

4x4 sport if you want looks and a long bed. 4x4 offroad if you want a locker but no long bed.

Do you like the hood scoop? If so it only comes with the Sport Package. Problem solved. Now look for the extras.

keep in mind anything can be changed, sold etc. Especially things like wheels and tires

I got the loaded TRD sport entune navi, but im not very happy with the OEM navi or entune system.

Color matched bumpers was something I liked, but guys on the forum I notice trade all the time, some prefer chrome some dont.

The Grill you can paint black yourself , or buy one color matched offline.

    So many options !

Also One thing I learned is most of the sales men dont know much about the options and package details , you need to do your own research. Build a few models and check them out yourself on the lot and compare.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
IMO buy the cheapest one on the lot 4x4 if you wish and I don't give a shit what color it is..in fact it's kind of fun to see which I'll get)) I realize all Hell breaks loose with the winter weather but if you could live with a 2 wd 5 lugger, I think you'd be very happy. [IMG] IMO why spend another 4-5-6-7-10k on the purchase but I understand if you need a 4x4.

Hey thanks, Do you have any suggestions on accessories you added and liked, or didn't like, or wish you had?

Go to that sight and build your truck. Read all the packages and what they offer...not to hard to figure out what you need and dont need from that.

Only you know your driving habits and conditions. Buy appropriately.

Yup. Look at what's offered and choose based on what you want to do with the truck. Some of the options on the TRD packages are nice, but not everyone will use them. Some like the plain trim on the SR5 packages...or the chrome trim on the Offroad. Look at all the options and choose what you like. Don't leave it up to others,as you won't be happy with the truck...
