Well I know pretty much what is going on with the noise to be honest. It is my passenger side cv axle. My boot has a huge rip in it and all the grease came out. Well for the noise. It is just very loud, squeaks at times on turns and I can feel it.

Do you think I will be ok just greasing the hell out of it for a week till I have the money to get a new one?

Whats the worst that could happen?

How hard is it to replace?

    My truck is a 2007 2.7 with a 3" ome lift and 265/70/16

    Thanks,
    Jake

Well I am getting the axle tomorrow. Should I have it towed to my folks place to work on it there? Could I drive it 20 miles? Or take it to a shop?

I am going back and forth on it. I want to see if the road side service that cam with it will cove the tow. Also I do not plan on replacing the hub bearing. I should be ok with not having to press anything right?
