I have the selector knob set to "Floor" but a fair amount of heat comes out of the windshield vents, is this normal?

I have the same issue, even when you have it on feet a small portion of air comes out in your face and vice versa.

Not to mention the blower motor is still blowing when you have it set to OFF. Didn't know off meant kinda off

The blower motor is off, just no door/damper to shut on the intake for HVAC intake, which is in a high pressure area allowing for infiltration

Totally normal. A lot of people use that as a way to keep the windshield clear without running the A/C that turns on in the defrost modes.

Yes, but every other car I have had when you put it on off, it's off. It's fine in the summer but if the truck gets warm in the winter and it's still pumping hot air in your face it can get annoying

Thanks guys. I kind of thought it was designed to keep the windshield warm and defrosted under light conditions. I would prefer to have ALL the air go to the floor, it tends to overheat me with the heat in my face. The Little Lady loves it though.

That's what the knob in the middle is for, it controls the temp...turn it to the left (counter clockwise) the temp will reduce accordingly. More into the blue area you get, the colder it goes...

I too love all the heat to the feet. there is a solution:

since the air path for the defrost and the feet is close, the feet setting leaks air to defrost.

    BUT!

if you set it to face and feet, and CLOSE all of the face vents, very little comes out of the defrost.

this saved me cause i was pissed at how much hot air went through the defrost when set to feet. now i can live with it.

I cant handle all that hot air in my face. i was relieved to be able to cut it down this way.
