I have a 2013 Tacoma I was replacing all my lights with LED's however when I got to the amber side marker in the front on the passenger side the old bulb popped out and now is sitting inside the headlight assy at the bottom, my question is does the headlight bulb come out? if it does I can stick a piece of wood with gum on the end and get it out, but if the headlight bulb does not come out...well you see you see my problem.
Secondly has anyone here added a backup sensor to their new Tacoma? if so where did you get it and how do you like it and of course how much.
    Thanks for your help..

Umm... Yeah. The headlight bulb comes out. If it didn't you wouldn't be able to replace it when it burnt out. The easiest way to get your other bulb out would be to remove your entire headlight assembly and take your headlight bulb out and just turn the whole housing so the amber bulb will just fall through the hole the headlight bulb was in. Admittedly the headlights are notorious for being hard to remove but there are many threads on here on how to remove them. If you do it right it is about a 10 min job.

As far as a back up sensor goes... I assume someone makes one but I've never searched for it. Does your truck not have a rearview camera?

Thanks for the reply, yea it has a backup camera, but personally I think it sucks, I'd rather have the sensors, I've had the sensors in a previous truck I had and I can tell you from having experienced both, the sensor is much much more helpful than the 2" square camera on your rear view mirror.
    thanks again:D

Really? I've never had back up sensors on any vehicle but I love the camera in my truck. I never thought I would use it but now that I have it I can back my truck into the garage precisely where I want it every time.

I put the red line on the edge of the garbage can and I'm home :)

Haha... Yeah. I remember when I bought the 2011 and it had a back up camera on it. I told the salesman you can take that shit off I'll never use it. Man was I ever wrong lol. It is a pretty tight fit with the light bar on the front. I've got about 4" clearance in front of the truck with the garage door closed.

When I had my 11' I was use to not having them. I got pretty close without hitting anything, until one day. I was backing up after driving 6 hours. Pulled into my friends driveway, looked at the mirror camera and then looked at my riverside mirror. Next all I feel and hear a loud bang. I bumped into their wooden stairs. No damage to the truck and I just took some paint off the stairs.
When I got my 13', I didn't want all that line crap on their either. After a couple of months it started to grow on me. Now I love it and I don't know what I would do without it. Makes parking so much easier and always been straight.

Yeah I'm like you. I didn't care for the lines at first because I had gotten used to not having them. After a few weeks though I really like it and it makes it much easier for my wife to back it up because it gives her a actual visual reference point.

I've been complaining since I got my truck that I don't have the lines. In 2012 if you got the touch screen radio, the camera shows on the radio and it doesn't have the guidelines. Drive me nuts. I think in 2013 they added the lines on the radio as well. Not that I can't drive without them but it would be nice to have them.

Another reason why I hate the manual mirror in the 2014. I have the same radar detector setup but I have to leave it hanging almost an inch below the mirror because of the day/night lever.

Yeah, I can see how that would suck. I love the mount though.

I had a '13 TRD Sport, no camera or lines at all in the touch screen. It had the camera and lines in the mirror. I really miss that setup. The '14 has the camera/lines in the radio.

If you really want the backup sensors, Toyota now lets the dealerships install those options. I forget how much the price was, but it didn't seem too outrageous coming from a dealer.

I installed back up sensors on mine.

The sensor wires weren't long enough to allow the module to be mounted in the cab. So I put the module in a sealed box and mounted it under the bed.

I agree with you, I am so use to the back up sensors going off. The camera doesn't do it for me.

The kit I bought has two sensors. They are made for steel bumpers.
The place I bought it from does not sell the two sensor kit anymore. Although four sensors would be the way to go.

Place I bought it from. $90
