What's the process on re-applying the badges? Do y'all add a new adhesive to it? I'm thinking about dipping mine.

You don't have to remove them to use Plasti-Dip. Just mask around them leaving an inch or 2 on all sides and then spray 4-6 coats and peel it off the body panels. It will separate on the gaps between the emblem and panel on it's own and peel off cleanly, just leaving the painted emblem. Super easy. Just make sure you spray from all angles to get the emblem covered really well. And spray the coats on lighter than you would think or it will bubble. Wait 20-30 minutes between coats.

Thank you sir. That does sound much easier than ripping them off.

I dipped my badges and grill and was thinking about my bumper but wasn't sure how it'd look until I saw every ones pictures on here now I might try it since i can just peel it off if i dont like it.

I didnt mask the hood grill and got a bunch of over spray on my hood but just rubbed my hand over all the over spray and it all came right off super easy.:D

here some picture of how i did my truck so for with the dip.

Is there anything other than adhesive holding the door trim moldings on?
On my truck the silver molding that goes along the length of the door is flaking away and I'm wondering how hard it would be to remove.

Someone told the fiancé that I spray painted the truck today. After I received a threatening text with some vulgar words, she then realized what plasti dip was. Let's just say I won that battle. I tried to convince her about just painting the badges black, but I lost that war.

Debadge I think looks a lot better or you can debadge and add some better plasti-dip emblems. I added the Tundra 4x4 to my tailgate.

1 MILLION times 2nd this! if you have to badge your truck you need to rethink yout build brother!

looks alot cleaner and if its done right people know what it is.

even stock it looks 1000 times cleaner with no badges! i de-badge EVERY vehicle i own!

    just my 2 pennies worth

if your gonna mod them have them professionally done, to re-apply get a sheet of professional grade double sided 3m foam tape, put the badge on top after you remove the oem tape, trace the badge, use an exacto knife and cut the 3m foam tape slightly within the trace lines, remove one side of the tape, place the badge on it, then remove the others side of the tape and CAREFULLY place on your truck YOU GET 1 TRY AT THIS or ya have to start all over

    cheers,
