I went to the michelin dealer today for my 265/65 R17 and wanted Michelin LTX MS or MS/2 but he doesn't have them, it seems to be difficult these size of tires... He then propose me Latitude tour but told me it is more for road than the MS.
Do you think I might try those? Or what?

Hold out for ms2. Both are going to be better on the street than most of the tires that members run on here, but after selling and experiencing countless sets of tires (when it was my job), I can't suggest anything better than the ms/2 for on street and a little off roading/fire roads/whatever.

If you think you're going to be spending a considerable amount of time off the beaten path or will in the future, you may want to just go with something more aggressive from the get go. You may never achieve the comfort and quietness of the ms2s but at least you won't have to do it over again.

Tirerack.com has the Tires you are looking for. Even with the shipping cost, nobody near me can beat their pricing. The shop I am using now will match their pricing if you ask.

A little of this and a little of that.
Keep looking! I like my Michelin MS/2's. I've got 21K miles on them & they still look new. They're as quiet now as they were when new.

Great info on the Michelins. I have had them before and they are great tires.

I got the Michelin Latitude Tours in a 245/75 R16 and they were awesome. They are light weight so great gas mileage. However, I got a 1" rock cut in the Centre of the tread on one of them from driving on a freshly graded dirt road. The cut is not fixable since it went right through the belts. And to make things worse, Michelin has stopped producing that tire in the 245/75 R16 and I cannot find a replacement. I am putting the 3 Latitude Tour tires I have on the local kijiji classified adds for cheap and replacing them with Michelin LTX A/T 2 in LT245/75 R16 E. The Latitude Tours are a great highway tire but don't do any offloading with them.

I have the ms2's on my taco in the oe size... Dropping it off Monday for the 15k rotation. I commute 60 miles a day with them. They are a quiet tire. They suit my needs very well. It's been in the low 20s over night here all week and I do notice they tend to ride rough the first few miles but that's no big deal.

They work well on gravel and dirt roads which is the extent of my off reading. I have found they have terrible lateral grip though.

I got them installed for a little under 800 from tire discounters and got a 70 dollar Mastercard gift card from Michelin.

    I'm happy with then.

I was on the fence between the MS2's and a few others that were cheaper but ended up with the MS2's after reading great reviews on various forums. I could not be happier with my decision! Great tires!

Wow $800 is awesome. Installed, mine were a little over $1,000 (granted I opted for the repair/replace coverage which was an additional $26.50/tire). I went to Discount Tire.

Got mine in P245/75-16 at Costco for $774 out the door, including road hazard and life-time rotate/balance, and they took the $70 rebate off the top, so no mail in required. They've been on a year - excellent ride, excellent traction wet, very satisfied with snow/frozen performance.

+XXX on the Michelin M/S2. I put them on an Xterra and Jeep we once had. They are great tires in all on road conditions. Couldn't be beat. Lasted a long time too. I think they're the best, but I didn't put them on my truck this time. Just wanted something a little more rugged looking.

Ms2 hands down.... Long life and AMAZING GRIP on icy roads...

I have a set of the stock size 245/75/16s on a big heavy Chevy 2500hd 4x4 ... Driving on icy hilly mountain roads up to the local ski resort I would see how far I could get in 2wd ..... And I never had to put input in 4x4 and that's only with a taunno cover on the back.
