Beer piss is what I use. Works best when driving around so when you get moving again the piss gets slung around to cover the whole tire.

I have tried them all and Meguiars gives the best longest lasting shine to my tires and it's clean and easy to apply.

It's funny this topic should come up today. Just earlier today... I was walking to my truck at the airport parking garage. I was in Canada all week, eh! Well, as you read, I was there all week. It's been sitting since Monday morning. Last time I drove it the ice and slush was still all over the roads. Well, back to the point. I looked at my tires while I was walking back to my truck at the airport parking garage. Spot E2B. I took a picture so I wouldn't forget and lose my truck. DFW airport. So, as I was walking up to my truck, I looked at my tires, Duratracs. Yeah, I know, they suck! Well, the white letters were nice and shiny, the black part was also nice and clean. So OP, I'd say that's the best way to clean your tire. Drive around in the ice and slush filled roads. That's ice and slush will darn near scrape and clean anything off, and clean them right up. Make those things look brand new again!

    So, good luck.

The new "improved" WB is not nearly as good as the old product IMO. If anyone has a lead to the original WB let me know but I think it is almost illegal now. I use 303 on tires but it's not shiny, hard to get white letters bright white.

+1. Plus it won't sling off! Gives it a nice finish.

Someone showed me an awesome way to whiten the letters. If you get a nice flat rock especially a flat broken off piece of concrete it whitens them up super nicely.

I tried steel wool + wax and grease and it worked okay but the rock blows it away completely.

I HATE shiny tires. Tires are meant to be nice and black not shiny.

One of my friends swears by comet scouring powder. I've never tried it as WB and one of those hand tire brushes from walmart works for me.
