pcv valve issues

    I am just curious will a failing pcv valve allow moisture in my oil

    Alcan stock height 4-leaf springs, greaseable main eye bolts, OME greaseable shackles, all energy suspension bushings, 2-row extra deep radiator, KYB gas-a-just shocks. ALL LED exterior and interior lighting including custom tail lights and blinkers.
    I would say no since it is a closed system. But if it had malfunctioned and allowed the seals exposed to the outside to fail prematurely, then maybe?

    Those damn valves are often overlooked during maintenance.

    Why are you suspecting a failing pcv?

    Yes there is a frothy haze on my oil cap. A mechanic said it was prolly the pcv valve considering it is overlooked alot in maintenance. I dont remember when it was last changed. My truck is an 06 trd sport with 484 000km so i just want to keep up on the maintanance

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Condensation on the fill cap is a normal condition. The cap is high on the engine, since vapor rises, it is a natural collection point. A modest amount of emulsified oil is normal, large amounts are not.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    ^^ this. it's from short drives where the engine does not get to normal temp and burn it off.
