    It's not for sale... Yet.

Just want an idea what some people here would pay for it (after it's finished) ?

    Thanks. :)

Just need an emblem, but haven't decided which one...

Looks pretty good. I wouldn't pay for it I would just do it myself;)

Someone will probably be interested in it... though I would think at the lower end of your scale.

They're nice, and I'd love to have one... But not for anywhere near that price.

IMO $450 is reasonable, but i think it needs to be colormatched.

Two things I just want to mention...

    - the chrome part is basically brand-new (taken-off @ dealer when bought), not a scratch or rock-chip anywhere. That's sorta why I don't want to sand/paint it*, but will if it's worth it.

    - the grill "mesh" & black "surround" still needs some work, painting that is.

    * I have color-matched 040 Toyota white paint already.

    ;)

I think $450 is steep. I'd be in around a $350 price point.

There is a reason craig doesnt mass produce these and sell them at a set price, see below.

    2012+ OEM grill ~ $200
    High quality mesh ~ $50-$60
Fiberglass, resin, epoxy, fasteners, paint ~ $50+
Those estimates might be high or low, but materials will probably be close to $300

My educated guess is 10 hours of labor would be making good time. So making these for an affordable price would pay maybe $10 an hour. May be worth it to some. No one wants to pay $500 for a part and not know the quality is there, thats the difference from a homertaco grill and someone who builds one and wants to sell it.

Good luck to the OP, i hope you get what you want for it. And hopefully you can figure out a way to keep producing and selling them.

    Thank you.

And I'm not going to "mass produce" these... I don't have the appropriate work-space to do it.

Your "cost-analysis" was pretty much spot on, BTW... You're a little off on the labour part. (~15hrs x $15/hr)
