Santoshi Raptor Style Grill, Weathertechs, 33" General Grabber at2 265/70/18, Kobalt Slimline, Flowmaster 40, Outdoor Edition Bedside Decals, 5100's set at 1.75" with 1/4 toytec spacer both sides, Wheeler's 1.5" AAL

I'm thinking that looks pretty sweet for those of us that don't think we can tackle the Santoshi build. After pricing it out it should cost about $250.00. About 200.00 for the grille craft and $50.00 for the letters. Maybe a few dollars for whatever compound you choose to mount the letters.

True that. The problem with satoshi grilles is that total cost involved sucks. You are paying for a new grille (OEM color-matched 99% of the time so extra cost there), mesh, all materials involved to make the lip, and then on top of that the labor/time required to do so and then shipping.

I might tackle the task some day. I will await Homer's 12+ mesh kit first. He was putting together the thin lip DIY kits for future sale by what I read.

That looks so good. I'm definitely doing this. Just want to see someone else do it first.

Thought of doing this myself. I have the 2011 with grillcraft already installed and an old Land-cruiser emblem. The grill craft has a bit of a curve to it so you would have to bedn the letters a bit im assuming. BAMF told me the letters could be best fairly easily to fit the grill. Id be interested to see some pics if anyone does this.

I ordered the letters and grill. Just wondering if I should use double sided tape or drill holes and bolt the letters on.

I used 3m tape to hold on my landcruiser emblem and its not going anywhere, id imagine the letters would be fine if you cover the back of them in it. sub'd to see the end result. do you know for sure if the letters will fit?

I agree but it does offer a lower cost option when compared to a Homer Raptor Grill. You guys could be onto something here...especially the for the 2012-2014 trucks.

I get the grillcraft grill tonight in the mail. I will hopefully mount it tonight. The letters were marked shipped a week and a half ago but bamf went on Vacation before he shipped them. I should have this done in the next week or so. The grill is gloss black. Should I paint the letter gloss black to match or flat black to contrast or white to stand out. I'm thinking gloss black.

Semi gloss for contrast so it stands out ever so slightly.

Mademan, looks good! Now paint those letters and get 'em on! On your white Taco You might try gunmetal grey? If you have a favorite bright color go for it, you can allways go black like most do.

My truck is that dark green "Spruce Mica" and I run matte bronze wheels, was thinking same matte bronze for the grille letters. Could allways shoot them black if it looks queer.

Im thinking flat or gloss black. Im still waiting on bamf to ship the letters.

Used a jig saw and a dremmel. Make sure you tape the grill really well to protect it. `

Thanks. My truck is only 4 months old but my build is looking good.
