To Chrome, or not to chrome

Hey everyone,

I am kind of in a dilemma.

So, i have a 09 Magnetic Grey Double Cab Long bed that i NEED to make a few changes to.

I want to toss on a pair of nerf bars and a grille guard w/ brush guard, but i dont know whether to go black or chrome..

I already added on some window rain guards, black, from weather tech, and am thinking of getting some new rims.

I like the color, but i dont know if black or chrome would look better on it.

Does any one have any pics of chrome or black for a magnetic grey taco? tried searching, but not very lucky..

Oh yeah, it's SR5, and i wanted to slow mod it to trd.. Can i get a TRD hood w/scoop and just swap it out? or is the bolt assembly different.

Next week ill be changing the intake and such.

ahhh.... i looovee my truck. i cant hold it back.

 

If I were you go with black....It Looks 1----X better than chrome.

Theres usually swaps on Craigslist.com and sometimes on here. And no the bolts are not different....Its just like everything else on the Tacomas. Plug 'n' Play

 

Black all the way. i actually cant decide whether or not to paint my chrome grille, or just buy a stock black one and then paint that, i dont think the paint will stick good to chrome.

 

For nerf bars and grill guards I always recommend going black.
They are going to get chipped and being from NJ with the winter salt, rust sooner or later.
With the black they can easily be touched up when needed, you cant do that with chrome.
Plus they look better black
